14.09.2008 - Killing a Bedford

Posted in General

I finally found a donorcar in Borås, Sweden that had a high top roof. The car was ever so rotten so the only thing to do was to chop it to pieces on sight.

Tinworm nests everywhere:

Roof is ready cut. As I have a SWB car I need to shortend the rood. Therefore I cut it in two pieces to ease transportation. As I mentioned, the car was SO rotten that when we lifted off the rear part the sidewalls + innerwings just FELL OFF the car!!!!

This is what's left....

...and this is what I brought home. A roof + rear axle. I'm told that the axle ratio is higher on the vans than the chassicabs. Hopefully it is..else I have a spare. If anyone can confirm this I'd be happy to know.
